The 2026 Juneteenth 5K will assemble at 7:00 am and begin at 8:00 am.
5K Location & Route
The streets will close at 6:00 am and reopen at the end of the parade at approximately noon. We will work with the appropriate agencies to reopen the impacted streets after the parade has passed. The 5K will start and finish at the intersection of Branch Avenue and Q Street SE. Participants will begin by heading northwest on Branch Avenue SE, then turn right (east) onto M Street SE. From there, runners will turn left (north) onto 34th Street SE, then left (northwest) onto Massachusetts Avenue SE. The course continues with a right turn (counterclockwise) into Randle Circle SE, followed by a right turn (northeast) onto Fort Dupont Drive SE.
