Location:

Parade route starts at the intersection of Branch Avenue and Pennsylvania Avenue SE at the Shops at Penn Branch, 3202 Pennsylvania Avenue SE in Ward 7.

Route:

Exit the rear parking lot of the Penn Branch Shopping Center. Turn right. The parade will proceed along Branch Avenue SE.Turn counterclockwise on Randle Circle.

Participating bands will stop and perform in front of the stage located on Randle Circle.

End:

The parade ends at Randle Circle in Fort Dupont Park, 41 Randle Circle SE. Family fair and festival expected. Please stay tuned for more details.

How to Participate

We welcome local businesses, schools, and community organizations, bands, fraternities, sororities, civic associations and more to participate in the parade. At this time, please register with a group and not individually.

There are several ways you can get involved:

Register a Group: Create a group, march with your organization, or perform along the parade route. Please Register Here.
Volunteer: Help with organizing, managing the event, or assisting on the day of the parade. Sign up here.

The Juneteenth Parade will feature a variety of activities and attractions, including:

Live Music and Performances: Enjoy performances by local bands, dancers, and artists.
Free Food: Savory hotdogs and the like
Educational Exhibits: Learn about the history and significance of Juneteenth through interactive displays and presentations.
Kids’ Zone: Fun activities and games for children of all ages.

Planning Meetings

Community involvement is crucial to the success of the parade. Join us for our planning meetings, which we will promote on the site and other areas. Ward 7 stakeholders are welcome to attend and contribute ideas.
